Combination skin care in Pakistan: face wash, moisturiser and routine

Wash your face with a gentle cleanser, pat it dry and wait an hour without applying anything. If your forehead, nose and chin look shiny while your cheeks feel normal or tight, you have combination skin.

Other signs: visible pores and blackheads on the nose, the odd breakout on the chin or forehead, and cheeks that flake in winter. Combination skin can also change with the seasons, looking oilier in summer and drier in winter.

Choose a gentle, low-foam face wash that cleans the oily T-zone without stripping the cheeks. Harsh foaming washes leave the cheeks tight and can make the T-zone produce even more oil.

If breakouts on the T-zone are your main problem, a salicylic acid face wash works inside the pores. If your cheeks are sensitive, use it on the T-zone only, or every other day, and the gentle wash the rest of the time.

Combination skin still needs moisturiser everywhere, including the oily areas. Skipping it can make the T-zone produce more oil. A light, non-greasy moisturiser suits the whole face, especially in Pakistan's heat.

If your cheeks are dry or flaky, add a thin layer of a richer ceramide cream on the cheeks only, or use it all over at night in winter.

Combination skin mein maatha, naak aur thodi (T-zone) oily hote hain aur gaal normal ya khushk. Iske liye do alag routines ki zaroorat nahi: halka face wash, poore chehre par halka moisturiser aur subah sunscreen kaafi hai.

T-zone par daane hon to salicylic acid wala face wash lagayein. Gaal khushk hon to raat ko sirf gaalon par ceramide cream ki patli tah lagayein. Hafte mein ek do baar sirf T-zone par halka scrub karein.
